“Dude?”
“Yeah?”
“I don’t get it.”
“I keep tellin’ ya, dude. Don’t download apps y’don’t understand. They’ll trash yer computer, and ‘help’ desks are always useless. Especially for your machine. Y’know why they call it ‘Windows’, don’tcha?”
“No …”
“‘Cause it’s a pain.”
“Kinda like a dude I know. I wasn’t talkin’ ’bout apps. I was talkin’ ’bout this picture that Susan put up. I’ve heard of ‘shoo fly’, but nothin’ anythin’ like this!”
“Dude, if they all look like this, I ain’t gonna be shooin’ no flies. They can come to Daddy.”
“Careful wit’ yer prepositions there, dude.”
“My propositions?”
“Them too. But the wings gotta go. They get in the way. And she also gotta lose that look on her face.”
“Dude. If that was your shoe I was leanin’ over, I’d be lookin’ pretty disgusted myself.”
“You dissin’ my shoes?”
“Dude, you been built upside down for as long as I’ve known you. All I’m sayin’ is, if yer nose ran more often, y’might get the exercise you need.”
“So what’m I s’posed t’do ’bout it, dude?”
“That’s where the dinero come in, dude …
Matilda dropped the coin into the shoe, and, on behalf of her people who lived in the hall closet, made a wish. “Odor Eaters …”
“An’ if that don’t work, she calls in a HazMat team.”
“Riiight, dude. And when’d you do yer laundry last, huh?”
“What laundry?”
“It all got up by itself and walked away, didn’t it, dude …?”
O-o-oh, that’s why she has that disgusted look on her face–it’s the smell. It was kind of her to think of her people who lived in the hall closet. Maybe she can magic-up a passle more odor-eater pills for all those other shoes.
I came by just for the chuckle, and this entry fit the bill nicely! LOL!
Hey dude funny once again!
Yup. Made me laugh again! Thanks. š
Thanks for the laugh. That was cute.

Thoughts in Progress
I like how you built it up, but the 140-odd itself has real magic. Good stuff.
Hopefully her wish came true! PU!!! :O)
odor is most surely a concern when one lives in a closet š
I love the Windows joke!
LOL–seems like a lot of us went with smelly feet and odour-eaters this week. Loved your take on the illustration.
Cheers~
Talk about toxic fumes! Good one, dude.
Great take….brilliant idea to have the big build up…makes your story pop!
